
Lancashire had their highest ever attendance at yesterdays England National Singles. The event was added to the new Lancashire Ranking tables where £1500 prize money is on offer. The event sees the players who qualified going to the National finals which will be held at Edgerley Park Stockport on Saturday 17th July 2010. Lancashire will have 11 players going into the Mens Finals and 8 Ladies into their event. A total of 153 players took part in the event. Blackburn's Dave Place moved up into clear second place in The Lancashire Rankings behind Dave Chisnall who didn't attend the event and neither did former second placed player Ian Lilley. Anne-Marie Millership moved into second place in the Ladies rankings behind Lisa Ashton who was on England duty at the 6 Nations Internationals in Republic of Ireland, and unable to attend the play-offs. Special mention to youth player Alex Howard from Southport who at 15 years old is the youngest qualifier in the history of Lancashire darts, and good to see Les Fitton who is now back in the fold after leaving the PDC and returning to playing BDO darts.

The next scheduled Lancashire Ranking Event will be held at Fleetwood on Sunday 2nd May 2010, with the World Pro & British Masters event held at Burnley Football Club on 23rd May 2010. The final event of the season The Winmau World Masters will be held on 12th June 2010 venue to be advised.
